My Spring Break Fantasy

Nash? Grier?
Nash Grier?

I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I mean his eyes.
I mean my eyes.

I stood there in shock.
I’m finally face to face with…

NASH GRIER!
I’m not obsessed.

I couldn’t move.
I was drowning in his eyes.

Blue eyes.
Piercing blue eyes.
Beautiful, piercing, blue eyes.

That’s my spring break fantasy.
What’s yours?

Snow Day!

“Do you want to build a snowman?”

My dad asks.

“No, I’m kind of tired right now.”

I reply.

“I’ll name him Jeff.”

My dad says with a smirk on his face. I was just really happy there was no school.

Today,

I could watch a little T.V,

I could walk around in the woods,

I could maybe even walk around in the woods.

“Katelyn!”

Calls my dad.

I walk outside.

I see the most horrific sight I’ve ever seen.

“Wow, dad. Looks great.”

I look at the snowman.

It’s wearing my dad’s glasses,

My mom’s scarf,

and my beanie.

“I know right! I think it’s the best snowman I’ve ever done!”
Says my dad.

The One I love

My mom constantly says, “Wake up to the sound of goodness, and not to the sound of badness.” I think we should all take this advice because it came from a very knowledgeable woman; my mom. I admire her very much because she is very caring and optimistic.

One reason on how I admire my mom is that she is very caring. For years, she has cooked me meals and bought me clothes. She also welcomes me home when I come home from school. When I’m feeling down, she always knows what to say. A couple of weeks ago, my dad had to go to the hospital because of his kidney stones in the middle of the night. So my mom drove my dad to the hospital even though she was half awake!

Another reason of why I love my mom is, she is very optimistic. I think that the reason that she’s always happy all of the time, is that she was raised by a happy family!
Somehow, I just know that our relationship will get better and better. We will grow older together, write stories together, read scriptures together. All in all, we will always stand beside each other. Mother and daughter. Daughter and mother. That’s why I love my mom.
