The One I love

My mom constantly says, “Wake up to the sound of goodness, and not to the sound of badness.” I think we should all take this advice because it came from a very knowledgeable woman; my mom. I admire her very much because she is very caring and optimistic.

One reason on how I admire my mom is that she is very caring. For years, she has cooked me meals and bought me clothes. She also welcomes me home when I come home from school. When I’m feeling down, she always knows what to say. A couple of weeks ago, my dad had to go to the hospital because of his kidney stones in the middle of the night. So my mom drove my dad to the hospital even though she was half awake!

Another reason of why I love my mom is, she is very optimistic. I think that the reason that she’s always happy all of the time, is that she was raised by a happy family!
Somehow, I just know that our relationship will get better and better. We will grow older together, write stories together, read scriptures together. All in all, we will always stand beside each other. Mother and daughter. Daughter and mother. That’s why I love my mom.

Ollie, The Beluga Whale

Today was my 6th birthday. I was nervous I walked into the room. A tall, uniformed lady stood beside the dark pool. She waited for me. While I stood bedside her, a long, skinny creature flew up out of the water and scared the bones right out of my skin. I kneeled onto the slimy floor to pet it. It was a Beluga Whale! One of my favorite animals!

I reached my hand out over the water. The creature goes back into the cold water. “It’s okay, Ollie, she won’t hurt you,” said the kind lady. “Ollie. That’s his name. He looks like an Ollie,” I thought. Then, out of nowhere, a photographer tells me to say cheese. “Cheese!” I say so exited even though I don’t even know why. As the photographer takes my picture, the lady pushes the Beluga Whale next to me. Then…out of nowhere… I feel the wet, cold lips of a slimy Beluga Whale on the left side of my cheek. I never knew that’s how my first kiss would be like.

But…now I know…don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I could never be scared of that little guy.

My Events of 2013

The first  awesome event that happened to me in 2013 was when I went to my summer camp for a week.  I was blobbed super high there.  I was sitting in a weird position of the blob,  so when I got blobbed I did several flips accidentally,  then did  a belly flop on the lake.  Then swam down into the lake.  When I came back up where everyone else was standing everyone was laughing at me,  so I did too.

The next big event was when I moved to White Oak.  I didn’t really want to move,  because I liked my old friends,  and I would miss them a lot.  The people building my house took forever though.  I think they were doing a half day job or something.  The house was finally finished at around August.

My final event was whenever I met my best friend Gracie.  On the first day of school,  Gracie asked me if I wanted to sit with her at lunch.  Of course I said yes.  Then,  that’s when my two other best friends come in.  Their names are Kim and Kaycee.  They’ve been the greatest best friends I’ve ever had.  I will never forget them.  Soon,  me and Gracie discovered that we rode the same bus.   We became BFF’s after that.

My goal for this year is to do my best at everything I do.  I want to learn some new piano techniques,  so I can get much better at my piano skills.  I want to be more respectful to my parents, too.  Those have been  my favorite memories and goals in 2013
